PictureI was born and raised in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. I currently reside in King of Prussia. I wrote the story about the Sore Prickly Bear when I was 8 years old. My teacher, Mrs. Ulrich encouraged me to write and also gave me the young author's award. I found this book after my mom passed away last year. I had a great childhood but when I wrote this book, my parents got divorced, we moved and I changed schools. A lot of changes for an 8 year old. So I guess I felt like Fuzzy.

Around October 2015, I took the book into work to show my friends because this past year and a half has been very hard for me and my family. I knew when I showed my friends, they would laugh and cry because my life was again Fuzzy's. My friends, Denice, Dee, Candace, Rick, Gina, Tara, Nancy, Tamara and Gina encouraged me to publish this book. So here I am!

I am now 46 years old. I have a great job, great friends, and great family. But there are still days that feel very bad and very unfair.

My goal for publishing this book is to help children understand that bad things happen and bad days happen. But when we have friends and family in our life to help us laugh at ourselves, we can heal and move forward. Everyone has a bad day, week, month or even years. My dream is to share this story for children to know they are not alone and everyone has a bad day.
I am so grateful for my family and friends.

"That'th what I thaid" was published in February 2016. Lauren Panco inspired me to write this story. It is for children who have a hard time with their R's and S's. I think many of us have! I want children to know it's ok to sound different and with practice, it changes. Don't let anyone make fun of you. We are all perfect the way we are!

Title: The Cloudosaurus Rex
Author: Emma R. McNally
Genre: Children’s Book / Picture Book
May, Adelle and Eddie go outside to play, but the weather keeps changing every day. They see a Cloudosaurus Rex, kind of the sky; it’s he who decides if it’s wet or dry. You can learn the days of the week together, as the Cloudosaurus Rex changes the weather.

Review:

This is a very fun rhyming book that is a pleasure to read for both parents and children. Combining dinosaurs with learning is always a plus in my book. The illustrations are colorful and describe the narrative nicely however they are very child like in comparison to a lot of other children's picture books. Over all it's the kind of book that can be read again and again and could quite easily be a child's favorite.

Author Bio

Emma R McNally.1

I have always loved reading and writing. In fact, I had the idea for my first book when I was only 8 years old. As a child we didn’t have a TV, so I was always writing stories, poems, reading or making things out of left over fabric. I studied English Literature and languages at school and gained my Master’s Degree with distinction in 2004. My love of reading has helped me throughout my career and I want to encourage children today to develop their own love of books, which I believe will help them to reach their future potential.

After a successful 25 year corporate career, I took the step to set up my own business two years ago and write, illustrate and publish children’s books – an ambition of mine for many years. I have had amazing reviews and articles written about my work. I believe the greatest critic for a children’s author is the children themselves and they are always honest! It is when a group of children are captivated by my story, mesmerised and hanging off every word, joining in with the rhyming verse and actions and then, when I have finished, ask to hear the book again – this is when I know I have written a great story.

I am always inspired by people who have pursued their dreams relentlessly – their tenacity and drive motivates me to be successful. My late father was a big influence on me and I have inherited his passion, enthusiasm as well as his love of reading. My favourite authors will always be AA Milne and CS Lewis, purely for the fact that you can read their books at any age and be swept away on the waves of your own imagination.
