A & K's Random Facts

Welcome to the first post of A & K's random facts. A post with interesting facts about a variety of topics researched by my blog assistants Ariana (age 9) and Kaiou (age 6).

A&K's Random Facts About Dinosaurs



 
 
 
Fact #1:  Seismosaurus was one of the biggest, heaviest dinosaurs. It weighed more than seven fire trucks.
 
Fact #2:  The very first dilophsaurus to be discovered was found in Arizona in 1954.
 
Fact #3: The smallest dinosaurs were about the size of chickens and the biggest were as large as nine or ten elephants.
 
Fact #4: There were no flying dinosaurs, but there were some flying reptiles called pterdactyls.
 
Fact #5: Dinosaur fossils cannot tell us what color the dinosaurs really were.
 
Fact #6: Compsognathus was one of the smallest dinosaurs. It weighed less than a big jar of pickles.
 
Fact #7: Meat eating dinosaurs would grow new teeth no matter how many times an old one would break.
 
Fact #8: Dinosaurs laid eggs of different shapes and sizes ranging from the size of a big potatoe to a small watermelon.
